Support Staff

Mr. Tom Winter, Teacher Assistant

I am a teacher assistant at Resurrection.  I am excited to work at such a vibrant, supportive, Christ-centered school!

I grew up in Rochester and was a member of the Resurrection congregation.  I graduated from RCTC and the U of MN, where I obtained my degree in Mathematics.  I married a wonderful woman named Paula Christensen and moved to Illinois where I was a software engineer for Northrop Defense Corporation for five years.  Paula also grew up in Rochester, and we moved back to raise our own family.  We have been blessed with four children ages 7-14 (Anna, Isaac, Jackson, and Maria).  I worked for Keane software consulting, then stayed home to raise our children.  Paula is starting her 25th year of teaching.  We are members at Ascension in SE Rochester.

My favorite Bible passage is "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory of and praise of God." Philippians 1:9-11

Mrs. Becky Worstman, Teacher Assistant

I was called to Resurrection in 2009. I get to wear several hats-- I serve as a teacher assistant and as the Title I teacher.  I love my job!  Each day brings new adventures and challenges.   We have the best kids and a wonderful, caring staff.

I was born and raised in Minnesota.  In 1991, I graduated from River Falls, Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a double minor in Health and Coaching.  Over the last 20 years I have been blessed to teach in several different areas--science, English, fourth grade, junior high and as a substitute teacher.

My husband, David, is a firefighter in Rochester.  We live in Mantorville with our two daughters.  Both girls attended RLS where they enjoyed the academics, activities and friendships in our close knit school.    My oldest daughter is off to college now and my youngest is in high school.

My Favorite Bible passage is “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Mrs. Debra Hofland, Office Manager & Administrative Assistant

Hello from the front desk!  It's exciting to work here at Resurrection and I enjoy visiting with you when you call with your questions and concerns.

A little about me:   I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin with five brothers and then joined the Air Force where I was a stenographic specialist (secretary) and met my hubby (Nick).
We adopted four foster children many years ago, then had three babies of our own!  They're all grown up now, and we have five grandchildren, too.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Language Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  We homeschooled our three youngest children (preschool - high school).   Between teaching and coaching and and serving as a Sunday School teacher or leader for our 4-H club and church youth group, I have taught and/or coached all grades from preschool to 12th grade.   Some of my favorite classes to teach (besides Bible study!) were Nature Studies, US Geography & Artsy Journaling.   I lead/facilitate a women's Bible study during Faith Night, too.

We've lived in Montana, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and now Elgin, Minnesota where I putter around in our yard or write, sew, draw or quilt.  I also have a blog (www.Titus TwoFriends.blogspot.com).  AND I'm a life-long Packer fan, too--go Green Bay!!

Have you read Psalm 1?  Here's what it says:  Blessed is the one who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.   But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers .... The LORD watches over the way of the righteous.
