I have been married since 1988 and have three children. My husband works in retail management. Our son is an officer in the United States Army; he and his wife have two children. Our oldest daughter attends Martin Luther College in New Ulm, and our youngest child attends Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, Wisconsin. During my spare minutes, I enjoy spending time with my family, working with church music, reading, and scrapbooking.
I have an Education degree from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, and am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Special Education and state certification. After graduating from (D)MLC in 1987, I taught grades 1-2 at St. John’s in Lewiston, MN for four years and then spent 16 years running a childcare center in my home. In 2007, I began teaching Kindergarten at Resurrection, moved to 7th and 8th grade in 2013, and am currently teaching 1st grade.
One of my favorite Bible passages is Psalm 118:24, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
